The Spirit of Christmas - Short Film

Our good friend and colleague Joshua Jones approached us in October to partner up on a short film he was working on for a production company called Planet Shine. The film was all about grief around the festive period and it was based on a personal story from one of the directors of Planet Shine.

The film was produced on a shoestring budget and was then given away to a grief charity to raise awareness around Christmas.

Our directors Sam and Amelia both came on board as Gaffer and Assistant Director and DGTL supplied all the lighting kit and some camera kit.

The shoot was a fast-moving project with seven scenes over four locations in two days. We were battling changing light conditions, cold weather, and short winter daylight hours so the lighting was especially hard to keep consistent throughout.

The team worked amazingly well and the thanks go out to everyone who gave up their time to help.
